  • HTTP - Hypertext Transfer Protocol. This is simply a network protocol (standard) that is used to display website on your computer
  • PHP - programming language used to create dynamic websites. Some vast websites have been writen in this language, e.g. Facebook, Wikipedia or Digg.
  • MySQL - a type of databse used to store content of your website
  • XHTML - this is a programming language your website is written in. Thanks to this language commands you can browse websites.
  • Flash - in simple terms: animation. Flash is a technology that allows designers to create attractive animated content keeping minimal file size.
  • Banner - is an online advertisement. Usually placed at the top of a website. Typical banner measurements are 468 x 60 pixels.
  • Skyscraper - similar to banner but it's vertical usually sized 120 x 600 pixels.
  • Unique user - one individual visiting your website within given period of time.

  • Virus - a malicious program writen to attack your files. A computer virus infection may result in your files being deleted or your computer system to become unresponsive.
